We’re told that if something’s broken, we have to wait for a politician, a corporation, or some other influential, moneyed entity to fix it for us.
We order food from an app.
We call the police when our neighbors piss us off.
We don’t act to change our community; we petition the government for new laws that will change it for us.
Society tells us we are helpless, and our only hope for agency is to get money and pay someone to address our problems for us.
The VISION
A society where communities care for one another, creativity thrives, and ordinary people have the power and independence to live with dignity and joy. Communities of any size can flourish because they are filled with people who create and act.

Cascade Forward helps people discover what they're capable of through creativity, community, education, and civic action.
What We DO
We encourage creativity, education, and action on a civic and social level.
We show people they are capable. Then help them to take action.
SPEAK OUT
We are locally known as makers of good trouble. We want better lives for regular people, which sometimes means standing up to power.
UPLIFT
Our goals are primarily less political and more community focused. We operate a number of projects that help empower people to live better lives.
